Sean Georgeson

Sean Georgeson is an ecologist, science communicator, musician, and founder of Coralition, a new initiative dedicated to coral reef conservation and global environmental awareness. Born in Liverpool and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, Sean’s childhood was steeped in exploration, wandering forests, climbing mountains, delving into caves, and exploring coastlines. These early experiences ignited a lifelong passion for the natural world and a commitment to its protection.

Drawing on his scientific background and creativity, Sean founded Coralition to unite communities, researchers, and organizations in collaborative efforts to safeguard vital coral ecosystems. His approach blends education with compelling storytelling to inspire meaningful action across diverse audiences.

Currently, Sean is preparing for Charting for Change, a global sailing expedition and fundraiser aimed at engaging coastal communities, documenting marine conservation efforts, and amplifying voices dedicated to protecting the oceans.

Sean’s work reflects his belief that enduring environmental progress emerges through collective effort, curiosity, and shared stewardship of the planet’s most precious ecosystems.
