2025
Join us on a journey through Southeast Asia and the Coral Triangle to explore some of Earth’s most biodiverse coral reef ecosystems and meet the people leading efforts to protect them.
What is the Coralition?
Born from a passion for reef protection and firsthand experience with grassroots organisations, Coralition brings together ocean advocates, scientists, and local communities to raise awareness, strengthen collaboration, and drive real-world impact for coral ecosystems worldwide.
We believe that coral reefs, vital to ocean health and coastal livelihoods, deserve a louder voice and a stronger, more connected support network. Through compelling interviews, educational content, and stunning footage of marine life, we spotlight the people and efforts dedicated to safeguarding these vital ecosystems.
Our current focus is Charting for Change, a fundraiser supporting frontline groups defending the Great Barrier Reef. Along the way, we’re building an international community committed to safeguarding coral reefs for generations to come.
Why start the Coralition?
Because protecting our reefs isn’t something one person can do alone, it takes a community. Coralition was formed as way to bring people together, connect stories, and amplify the efforts of those already working on the front lines of ocean conservation.
This isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room, it’s about creating a platform where many voices can be heard, where each person’s skills, ideas, and actions ripple outward to create real impact.
Coralition is a rallying point, a reminder that meaningful change only happens when we work side by side.
These ecosystems are worth saving.

Our current goal is to gain deep insight into the perspectives of local communities and coral conservation initiatives throughout Southeast Asia, as these communities rely heavily upon healthy coral reefs for their livelihoods.
In 2025 we will be focussing on Indonesia and Malaysia, and in 2026 we will aim to visit Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines as well.
The Charting for Change fundraiser will be split into two stages. Stage 1 focusses on the crucial work of the Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and their Great Reef Census initiative. Follow the GoFundMe link for more details! Stage 2 will be announced in January 2026. Stay tuned!
